Afzal Amanullah IICC: Candidates and voters are very active regarding the election of the India Islamic Cultural Centre (IICC). Life members of the Islamic Centre are quite distressed about its deteriorating condition. Dr. Anoop Kumar Srivastava, a long-time active life member and former IRS officer, stated that the IICC’s condition is rapidly declining.
Hence, in this election, voters must exercise their voting rights wisely. Dr. Anoop Srivastava said that this time the election is not about maintaining relationships but about saving the India Islamic Cultural Centre. He stated that this is the last chance to save the IICC.
Dr. Srivastava mentioned that except for Afzal Amanullah, the former union secretary and candidate for the president’s post, all other candidates for the president’s position have been his friends for 25 to 30 years. Despite this, he considers Mr. Amanullah to be the most suitable candidate for the IICC presidency. Dr. Srivastava said he met Afzal Amanullah a week ago, and upon investigating his background through his sources, he was very pleased. Mr. Amanullah is highly educated, experienced, capable, hardworking, and dedicated to the country and society. When Dr. Srivastava discussed IICC with Mr. Amanullah, his ideas and intentions for the Centre greatly impressed him. He wants voters this time to think beyond relationships and vote to make IICC an exemplary Centre on a global scale.
Dr. Anoop Srivastava expressed that serving the country and society is his passion. He wants the responsibility of IICC to be placed on the shoulders of good people this time so that the Centre can genuinely develop. Currently, this Centre has become a hub for politics, PR, and personal gains. Members lack any kind of facility and have to struggle even for car parking. There is no distinction between members and non-members. Dr. Srivastava highlighted that life members have to go through a lot of trouble even to book a suite in IICC. This Centre has become a hotspot for scams and corruption. The panel that has been winning for the past twenty years has caused crores of rupees in losses to the IICC by filing lawsuits against each other out of a lust for power. The Centre has been defamed both nationally and internationally, tarnishing its reputation. Therefore, he desires that none of the previously winning members should win this time. If the Centre’s prestige increases, the respect and honor of its members will also increase.
