Bengaluru. Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday dismissed from service the doctor who got her pre-wedding photo shoot done inside an operation theater of a government hospital in Chitradurga district.
“Government hospitals are meant to serve the public, not for personal engagements. I will not tolerate such indiscipline,” Rao said.
“All doctors, staff, and contract staff will have to discharge their duties as per the guidelines. I have already directed the concerned doctors and officials not to misuse the premises of government hospitals,” Rao said.
Doctor Abhishek, associated with Bharamsagar Government Hospital, recently got his pre-wedding photoshoot done inside the operation theater of the hospital.
The pictures went viral on social media, drawing criticism from people.
In one of the pictures, Abhishek is performing surgery on a patient, while his fiancee is standing in front of him and helping him.
He had taken charge as health officer at the hospital only a month ago.
