New Delhi, February 19 . Many leaders including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal have congratulated Rekha Gupta on being elected as the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Her name was approved in the BJP Legislature Party meeting on Wednesday.
AAP national convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote on the social media platform X, “Many congratulations to Rekha Gupta on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. I hope that she will fulfill all the promises made to the people of Delhi. We will support her in every work for the development and welfare of the people of Delhi.”
Outgoing Delhi Chief Minister Atishi wrote in an X post, “Congratulations to Rekha Gupta ji on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. It is a matter of happiness that Delhi will be led by a woman. I hope that the promises made to the people of Delhi will be fulfilled. You will get the full support of the Aam Aadmi Party for the development of Delhi.”
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj wrote on X-post, “A new era of development and progress of Delhi has begun. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Rekha Gupta on being elected as the leader of the Delhi BJP Legislative Party.”

Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Before this, Sheila Dixit, Sushma Swaraj and Atishi have been CMs.
