Mamta attacked in Nandigram, left for Kolkata

Nandigram (West Bengal)| West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was allegedly attacked in Nandigram in East Midnapore on Wednesday. Banerjee was taken to Kolkata as she sustained a leg injury. He said, “There were about four-five men who did it .. He also alleged that it was a ‘conspiracy’.

Asked whether it was a conspiracy, the Trinamool supremo said, “Of course it is a conspiracy. There was no security personnel around me.”

Trinamool MP Sukhendu Shekhar Ray issued a statement in connection with the incident, saying, “Yesterday (Tuesday) after the widespread response from the people of Nandigram Block-1, Mamta Banerjee visited several places in Nandigram Block 2 after filing nomination in Haldia. Visited. He worshiped in another temple. ”

Ray said, “People everywhere gave a massive response. At around 6.15 am, when she was about to leave Birulia zone after worshiping in a temple, some unknown people pushed her into the car and forced the door to close.”, Which resulted in an injury to her left leg and also severe pain in her waist. After that, she went to Kolkata for proper treatment. ”

She was scheduled to return to Kolkata on Thursday but was immediately taken to the state capital.

An upset-looking Banerjee, sitting in the front seat of the SUV, spoke to the media just before her convoy left for Kolkata.

Earlier, after filing his leaflets for the seat of Nandigram assembly constituency, Banerjee participated in a two km long roadshow in Haldia. He was accompanied by party state president Subrata Bakshi.

Following the incident at Birulia Aanchal, sources said Banerjee was immediately taken to her temporary residence in Repara, before heading back to Kolkata.
