Mamta released manifesto, promising 5 lakh jobs every year

Kolkata | West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee released the Trinamool Congress manifesto on Wednesday, promising five lakh jobs every year, ahead of the assembly elections. The state will have voting in eight phases from March 27 to April 29.

Mamta said, “I am humbly submitting my 10 ‘Angikar’ (promises) to make Bengal stronger and more prosperous so that the wheels of development in our government’s third term continue to move forward. Our aim is only one, Bengal To be one of the leading states in the country. ”

He said that the 10 promises will form the foundation of governance and will set the roadmap for the next five years. The focus will be on making Bengal the fifth largest economy in India by creating five lakh new jobs every year.

He said, “For the first time, women heads of 1.6 crore families will get the benefit of a monthly basic income support scheme. Under this, 1.6 crore eligible general category families will get a monthly cash transfer of Rs 500, which will be Rs 6,000 annually. This amount will be directly transferred to the account of the female head of the family. ”

It is further written in the manifesto that students will be able to avail a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh using a student credit card at an interest rate of 4 percent.

The Chief Minister said that his government has helped millions of widows, senior citizens and especially disabled people through monetary assistance in the last 10 years.

The Trinamool supremo said, “Apart from this, all of us small and marginal farmers get 10 per acre, 000 rupees per year. All 10 promises are my personal commitments and I promise to take them to the people of Bengal. ”

Mamta said that if her government was formed for a third term in 2021, the state’s health and education budget would be doubled. He also promised to align with the Center to grant ST status to the Mahato community in Junglemahal in the state.
