New Delhi: Shri Sanjay Gehlot, Chairman of Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis (DCSK) held a meeting with Shri Dharmendra, Chairperson, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) & other Senior Officers along with Safai Karamchari Associations at NDCC-II Palika Kendra, New Delhi, New Delhi today.
During the meeting the following issues were discussed:
(i) regularization of RMR,
(ii) regularization of TMR to RMR,
(iii) expediting the process of compassionate appointment,
(iv) compensation/appointment on compassionate ground to the family member of Safai Karamcharis who died due to COVID-19,
(v) reappointment of long absentees Safai Karamcharis,
(vi) promotion of Safai Karamcharis and
(vii) medical facilities to Safai Karamcharis etc.
The Chairperson, NDMC apprised the Chairman, DCSK that sincere and sustained efforts are being made to resolve the long pending issues of NDMC Safai Karamchari Associations.
Chairman, DCSK appreciated the efforts of NDMC for regularizing RMR, providing compensation to the deceased family members of Safai Karamcharis who died due to COVID-19 and the medical facilities to Safai Karamcharis.
He requested NDMC to prepare a policy for deceased Safai karamchari and TMR. He also requested for expediting compensate appointment. He suggested to adopt a scheme for safai karmcharis which is being implement in Maharashtra which needs to be first studied by NDMC.
However, he requested for expediting the other matters and to examine to provide the maximum feasible facilities to Safai Karamcharis.
