MP Birla Group to set up cement unit at Badnagar in Ujjain at a cost of Rs 3500 crore

 New Delhi :Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s economy has moved from 11th position to establish itself as the 5th largest economy in the world. Prime Minister Shri Modi is working to make the country the third largest economy in the world. Madhya Pradesh is also committed to this goal of PM Shri Modi. Chief Minister Dr Yadav has invited the industrialists of West Bengal to expand their activities in Madhya Pradesh and said that they should use their talent, ability, and competence; and recognize the opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh for expansion of industrial activities. Chief Minister Dr Yadav was addressing the road show and discussion session with industrialists and industrial organizations organized in Kolkata on the possibilities of investment in Madhya Pradesh. About 700 delegates from the country and abroad and consulates and representatives of many countries participated in the event.

Industrialists Based in Madhya Pradesh shared their experiences

President of Confederation of Indian Industries and head of ITC, Mr. Sanjeev Puri shared his experiences related to the industrial activities conducted by his group in Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Puri praised Madhya Pradesh’s investment friendly and timely industrial policies and the favorable environment of the state for industry, trade as well as the general public.

Mr. Sandeep Ghosh of MP Birla Group said that a cement unit will soon be set up in Badnagar, Ujjain at a cost of Rs 3500 crore. Mr. Ghosh pointed out the need to start air service from Kolkata to Bhopal and Jabalpur. He said that the maximum investment of MP Birla Group is in Madhya Pradesh itself.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar, head of West Bengal chapter of Confederation of Indian Industries and Tata Steels, said that more than 700 people participating in the roadshow and discussion session shows the interest of the business community in investing in Madhya Pradesh. He praised the industry-friendly policies of Madhya Pradesh and thanked Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for visiting Kolkata.
