My duty will remain the same, to protect India: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi. After the Supreme Court stayed the sentence in the ‘Modi surname’ defamation case, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that protecting India is his duty and will remain so.

Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet, “Come what may, my duty will remain the same. To protect India.”

Earlier, the Supreme Court gave him a big relief and stayed his sentence. The court said that there was no reason for the trial judge to impose the maximum sentence of two years in the case.

Party leader and well-known lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi, senior advocate Rajinder Cheema, Harin Rawal and advocate Tarannum Cheema and advocate Prasanna appeared for Rahul Gandhi in the court.
