New Delhi: With the aim to help of its employees in this new phase of the covid-19 pandemic, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has announced some welfare schemes including medical insurance and medical treatment in any available government or private hospital on 100% reimbursement facilities on NDMC approved rates.
The worldwide Pandemic COVID-19 is creating havoc and the Medical facilities infrastructure is facing a big pressure in the whole Country including Delhi NCR.
As per the instructions and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Govt of NCT of Delhi from time to time to provide uninterrupted services in NDMC area like sanitation, water & electric supply and Medical services during the Pandemic situation. NDMC employees working in the various Departments declared as essential services and are attending their duty effectively during the Pandemic period.
In terms of consolidated guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, all workers attending these duties will be provided mandatory medical insurance with safety gears at their workplaces while discharging their duties.
The Pandemic COVID-19 is spreading very fast in Delhi NCR and the situation is getting pathetic, it is also observed that the treatment/beds are not available in empanelled Hospitals which is creating panic in the NDMC employees which are getting facilities under Liberalized Medical Health Scheme of NDMC.
In view of this situation, to provide immediate medical treatment, as a welfare measure for boosting their morale while on duty, it is
imperative to allow the medical facility to all the Employees, Ex. Employees, Contractual/RMR employees of NDMC and their dependents treatment in case they are infected by corona virus and hospitalised for treatment in any available Govt./ Private Hospital and 100% reimbursement of the treatment cost in OPD and IPD through Main Accounts Department of NDMC / Charak Palika Hospital, as per NDMC approved rates.
These facilities may be extended till the 31st of December, 2021, or till the Pandemic COVID-19 is declared over by the Govt. Authorities whichever is earlier.
