NDMC approved citizen centric infrastructure proposals in its Council Meeting.Four new Members take the oath as NDMC Council Members

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in its Council Meeting held today initially presided over by Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, Govt. of India – Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi in the presence of Chairperson – NDMC, Shri. Amit Yadav, Vice-Chairperson- Shri. Satish Upadhyay, MLA & Member NDMC, Shri.Virender Singh Kadian, other Members – Shri.Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Smt. Vishakha Sailani, Shri Girish Sachdeva and Secretary- NDMC, Dr. Ankita Chakravarty considered and approved the various citizen centric infrastructure proposals.

At the outset, Shri Surendra Kumar Bagde – Additional Secretary (H&V), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India,  Shri Ravi Kumar Arora – Joint Secretary (L&E), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India, Smt. Shilpa Shinde – MD, Delhi Transport Corporation, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and Shri Sanjay Goel – Secretary (UD), Govt. Of NCT of Delhi took the oath of office as the Council Members.The Chairman, NDMC administered the oath of faith & allegiance to the Constitution of India to all four new Members as Council Members in the Council meeting held at NDCC, Convention Center, New Delhi today.

1.  Agreement between NDMC and Leuven City of Belgium.

Council has informed about the agreement on the establishment of Economic and Cultural Cooperation and Exchange of Expertise in the fields of Smart City initiatives. The agreement was earlier signed on 08.11.2017 and expired in November, 2021. Now, the agreement was renewed on 23.01.2023 at the residence of Ambassador of Belgium in New  Delhi.

2.Purchase of two nos. HT Cable fault locating system.

Council approved the purchase of two nos. HT Cable fault locating system suitable upto 66KV. And these would be mounted on CNG vehicles along with CAMC charges for three years .

3.   Establishment of 04 nos. 990/1000 KVA Unitized Electric Sub-Station for Electrification at JJ Cluster Sanjay Camp, New Delhi.

Council approved establishing of 04 nos- 990/1000 KVA Unitized Electric Sub- Stations and associated LT Network for Electrification at JJ Cluster, Sanjay Camp, New Delhi.
