New Delhi: With an aim to dust & dirt free beautify the New Delhi area and to achieve 7 Star ranking in the forthcoming Swacchta Survekshan 2022, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) designated 15 sites/locations for the dumping of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste / malba in New Delhi area on the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s “Swachh Bharat Mission” and celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, this was informed by Vice-Chairman-NDMC, Shri Satish Upadhyay today.
Shri Upadhyay said NDMC is the first civic body that has provided the scientific solution for the C&D waste problem – How to dispose of/dump your C&D waste? & Where/Location to dispose/dump your C&D waste? He said that the civic body is not only to issue challans for offenders but also to provide an end-to-end solution for dumping C&D waste. This initiative is not only eco-friendly but also a zero-waste project wherein NDMC has re-used this C&D waste for making bricks, he informed.
While giving the details, Shri Satish Upadhyay said that a total 15 C & D waste tipper bins are located in 15 different sites in the NDMC area. NDMC has also provided latitude and longitude details of each and every C & D waste tipper bins on NDMC website. He informed the locations for the dumping of C&D waste as:- Shivaji Stadium Bus Terminal & Gole Market, Shivaji Stadium Bus Terminal & Connaught Place, J&H Block-Kali Bari Marg, Udyan Marg, Church Lane, Vakil Lane near Park, Kaka Nagar, UPSC Lane, Lodhi Colony backside of CWC, B. K. Dutt Colony near Gurudwara, Niti Bagh, Nehru Park Service Center, Sarojini Nagar, Moti Bagh Barat Ghar, West Kidwai Nagar near CPWD Guest House, Tilak Lane near park.
He also informed that if any person dumping land malba in Public place fine upto Rs. 5000/- will be imposed against penalty. He further informed that on-demand this facility is also available for removal of C&D waste / malba against payment by providing proper C&D Waste bin or Tipper facility at the demanding location.
He said that it is necessary for the citizens of the New Delhi area to be aware of how to correctly dump the C&D waste if they are doing any construction work at their home / office in the NDMC area. He urges the New Delhi residents and visitors to help us to make the New Delhi area clean, green and pollution & dust free.

Shri Upadhyay said Central Government has already announced Swacchta Bharat Mission in 2014 by Hon’ble Prime Minister. He said that our aim is to beautify each and every corner of common area of New Delhi either it is kiosks, footpath, roads, over-bridge, underpasses or beautification of parks & gardens. He said the motive of NDMC behind this is to achieve 5 Star to 7 Star ranking in the forthcoming Swachta Survekshan 2022. He said team NDMC is committed to implementing the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India with true spirit.
