NDMC launches a drive Sajag-Satark-Taiyar Abhiyan to fight against COVID 19

New Delhi: In view of rising COVID19 cases in the Delhi and NCR region, New Delhi Municipal Council ( NDMC ) Vice Chairman – Shri Satish Upadhyay took a surprise visited at Charak Palika Hospital, Moti Bagh in New Delhi today morning to review the preparedness for tackle any emergent situations related to the Covid19 and its new variant- Omicron.

Shri Upadhyay took a round in the Hospital – Emergency, ICU ward, OPD block and other places with Director ( Medical Services ), NDMC –  Dr. DS Gunjiyal and Senior Medical Officer – Dr Rahul to ensure well preparedness for any upcoming threat of Covid19 third wave or new variant.

He also discussed the Sajag-Satark-Taiyar Abhiyan to fight against COVID19 to be launched in New Delhi area by NDMC on the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. In the drive, NDMC take care , monitoring and control of all situation to tackle any emergency in the New Delhi area, if and when arises.

Shri Upadhyay inspected the PSA Oxygen generating plant estiblished under the PM-CARES Fund as well as he inspects the Medical Gas Pipeline System & Manifold Room and evaluated these for well preparedness.

Shri Upadhyay directed to the Medical Team to ensure an adequate stock of PPE Kits, Medicines, testing reagents, Kits. Pulse Oximeter. Oxygen Concentrator and Other Equipment and Consumables needed for a quick response to be maintained. He also suggests to the testing teams to be ready with plan to scale up testing in NDMC area, if required on very short notice SOPs/Contingency plan to be prepared immediately.

Shri Upadhyay also directed to Medical Team to vaccination in NDMC area to be geared up and any left-out population to be mobilized. The also inform us about to plan for Covid-19 isolation centers to be activated in NDMC area to be worked out on an immediate basis. Linkage to Covid-19 designated hospitals for seamless transfer of any sick patient requiring ICU care to be established, he also suggests.

Shri Upadhyay further issued the directions to the concerned officers for ensured the compliance of Covid guidelines issued by the Central and State Government respectively to curb the spread of new variant of Covid at community level.
