New Delhi: CM Rekha Gupta will visit ISKCON temple on Janmashtami

New Delhi, August 15 . Preparations for the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami are going on with great pomp across the country. This year this festival will be celebrated on August 16. On this festival, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will visit the ISKCON temple on Saturday.

A famous ISKCON temple is located in East of Kailash in New Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet have been invited by this temple for darshan on the occasion of Janmashtami.

The festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 16 at the ISKCON temple. Every year lakhs of devotees reach the temple for darshan on the occasion of Janmashtami. This time the number is expected to reach 6 lakh, while last year on the occasion of Janmashtami, 5 lakh devotees had darshan in a day at the ISKCON temple located in East of Kailash.

Brijendra Nandan Das, Director of ISKCON Communications (India), said that 1008 types of dishes will be offered to the Lord. Also, 108 types of cakes have been prepared. Along with this, a big cake of 51 kg has also been prepared. Lord’s darshan can be done continuously from 4.30 am to 1 am.

On the occasion of Janmashtami, 500 Delhi Police personnel will be deployed for security at the ISKCON temple. Apart from this, 500 entry bodyguards and 3,000 volunteers will be deployed for security from the temple side, so that the devotees do not face any problem. Along with this, ambulance and fire brigade vehicles will also be deployed on the spot.
