People of Pakistan fear possible retaliation from India, flood of memes on social media

New Delhi, April 25 . After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, the Indian government has taken several tough decisions regarding Pakistan. These include important steps like suspending the Indus Water Treaty, sending back Pakistani citizens and reducing the number of employees in the Pakistani High Commission.

After these decisions, an atmosphere of panic and insecurity is being seen among the people in Pakistan. Many Pakistani users on the social media platform ‘X’ are expressing apprehension of possible retaliation from India. Along with this, they are also targeting their government through sarcastic memes and jokes about this serious situation.

Some users wrote, “If India attacks, then only Allah can save us this time,” while someone joked, “If you want to fight a war, do it before 9 am, after that the gas supply stops.”

Another user tagged India and wrote, “Please, don’t give this idea to India.” At the same time, someone, referring to the condition of his country, said, “Tell them what a poor community they are going to fight.”

Some users have also posted in the style of surrender. One wrote, “Hello India, Pakistan is fully prepared, take it.”

Reactions are also coming on India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. One user wrote sarcastically, “India, please open the way for water, we are thirsty.” At the same time, another said, “Now the time has come to erase Pakistan from the map.” The reply came, “No problem, we will make a new map.”

It is worth mentioning that earlier in 2016 and 2019, in response to terrorist attacks, India had entered Pakistan’s border and carried out surgical and air strikes. Now after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, once again the common citizens of Pakistan are fearing similar retaliation. That is why there is a lot of commotion on social media regarding this topic.
