PM Modi condoles the death of ‘Lata Didi’

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Lata Mangeshkar, the Nightingale of India. Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after battling for 28 days.

In the tweet, the Prime Minister said, “It is an honor for me that I have always received immense affection from Lata didi. The conversations with her will be remembered for me. I join the grief of Indians on the passing of Lata didi. I have shared with her family members.” Spoke to and expressed condolences. Om Shanti.”

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari first met his family at the hospital. “Her passing away is an irreparable loss to the nation. But she will always remain a source of inspiration for all lovers of good music. Gadkari described the late singer as ‘the pride of the country’,” he said.

Producer Boney Kapoor of the Hindi film industry said, “She has left behind a huge legacy of songs that will be cherished for generations to come.”

Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani tweeted, “She used to be full of laughter and joy while talking about music. I am broken. So grateful to everyone that Lata Mangeshkar ji taught me and every musician in India.” I personally thank him.”

Akshay Kumar tweeted, “My voice is my identity, please remember.. and how can anyone forget such a voice. Deeply saddened by the passing away of Lata Mangeshkar ji. My condolences and prayers to the family. Om Shanti. ”

Ajay Devgn said, “Will be an icon forever. I will always taste the legacy of her songs. We were so fortunate that we grew up listening to Lataji’s songs.”

In his tribute, former India Test captain Virat Kohli said, “His melodious songs touched millions across the world. Thank you for the music and the memories.”
