PM Modi takes part in cleanliness activities on Gandhi Jayanti

New Delhi, Oct 2  On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday gave a message to take forward the Swachhata Abhiyan by participating in cleanliness related activities.

PM Modi shared some pictures of cleanliness activities on his social media platform ‘X’ and wrote in the caption, “Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, I participated in cleanliness related activities with my young friends. I urge all of you to also participate in some activity during the day and at the same time, keep strengthening the Swachh Bharat Mission.”

PM Modi wrote in another post, “Today we are celebrating 10 years of Swachh Bharat, an important collective effort to make India clean and ensure better sanitation facilities. I salute all those who have worked to make this movement a success!”

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also paid tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi on their birth anniversaries on ‘X’.

PM Modi wrote, “Respectful tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary, who dedicated his life for the soldiers, farmers and self-respect of the country.”

In another post, he wrote, “On behalf of all the countrymen, salutations to Pujya Bapu on his birth anniversary. His life and ideals based on truth, harmony and equality will always remain an inspiration for the countrymen.”

Let us tell you that on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a cleanliness campaign is being run across the country. This campaign is being organized to further the commitment towards cleanliness and simplicity. Various government and non-government organizations have organized cleanliness activities to spread awareness about cleanliness. The aim of the cleanliness campaign being run across the country is to promote cleanliness as well as keep the principles of Mahatma Gandhi alive.
