PM Modi has gifted Dokra artwork to French President Emmanuel Macron, which consists of two statues of women playing musical instruments. The iconic Dokra art is a major metal-casting tradition of Chhattisgarh, which is made using ancient wax technique. This artwork shows traditional musicians playing musical instruments, highlighting the cultural significance of music. This artwork made of brass and copper has fine workmanship, which reflects the deep skill and dedication of the artisans. Apart from decoration, this Dokra artwork symbolizes the rich cultural heritage of India.
