Channi told the media here, “We were told that the Prime Minister would take a helicopter flight from Bathinda to Ferozepur. But suddenly, he decided to go by road. If there was any security lapse during PM Modi’s visit, we would We are ready to investigate the matter.”

Modi canceled his visit at the last minute on his way to Firozpur, where he was scheduled to lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 42,750 crore.

The Prime Minister was stuck on the flyover for about 15-20 minutes.

The Home Ministry said in a statement that this is a major lapse in the security of the Prime Minister.
