Chandigarh, February 19 . Punjab’s Bhagwant Mann government on Wednesday took a big action against corruption in the police department. The government has dismissed 52 police officers involved in corruption. This is the biggest action taken by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab so far.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab is continuously taking action against corruption. Earlier, Muktsar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Tripathi was suspended on charges of corruption.
It is worth noting that the Punjab government had clearly warned all the concerned officials that if they fail to control corruption in their area, strict action will be taken against them. Apart from this, the state government had also ensured that the evaluation of the action against corruption will be taken from the public and local MLAs. This will ensure that the efforts to eliminate corruption at the regional level are going in the right direction and the officers are performing their duties.
This step taken by the Punjab government is an important initiative towards controlling corruption and making the working environment of the government transparent. The aim of this step is to root out corruption and give Punjab a clean and transparent administration.
Earlier also, the Punjab government has taken strict steps to end corruption. To deal with corruption, the Punjab government had issued WhatsApp number 9501200200, so that people can complain against the corrupt. Government figures claim that after this strict action has been taken against the corrupt. After the release of this number, the government found many cases of corruption and arrests were also made after investigation. According to the information, the Vigilance has tightened the noose on ministers and IAS officers involved in corruption.
