The case involved a fraudster as a representative of a liquor store, who allegedly made money online by promising to bring home alcohol.

Sanjaya Baru surfaced on the internet about the home delivery system of liquor during a lockdown. He then noticed a liquor store called La Cave Vines and called the number and Sanjaya Baru ordered liquor online.The man who introduced himself as a liquor store was asked to transfer 24,000 rupees to his account online. The money was then sent.

Upon receipt of the call, the number received a notification that the phone was switched off. It was then that Sanjaya Baru filed a complaint with the police. The suspect was arrested following a phone number investigation. Police said the man was a taxi driver.
