Bhopal, May 31 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that sindoor is a symbol of women’s power in our tradition, Ram devotee Hanuman also wears sindoor. It is a symbol of our valor. While addressing women in the Mahila Empowerment Maha Sammelan organized at Jamburi Maidan in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the Pahalgam attack.
PM Modi said, “In Pahalgam, the terrorists have not only shed Indian blood, they have also attacked our culture. They tried to divide our society. The terrorists have challenged the power of the Indian women, this challenge has become fatal for the terrorists and their masters. Operation Sindoor is the biggest and most successful operation in the history of India against terrorism. Our army destroyed the hideouts of the terrorists, destroyed them by entering hundreds of kilometers away. Operation Sindoor has clearly stated that proxy war through terrorism will not work. Now we will kill even by entering the house and whoever helps terrorism will also have to pay a heavy price for it.” PM Modi further said, “140 crore people of the country are saying that if you fire a bullet, you will be answered with a shell. Operation Sindoor has been a symbol of support for our Nari Shakti. India is a country of culture and values. Sindoor is a symbol of Nari Shakti in our tradition, Hanuman Ji, painted in the color of Ram Bhakti, is also wearing Sindoor. We offer Sindoor in Shakti Puja and this same Sindoor has now become a symbol of India’s bravery.”
Remembering Devi Ahilya Bai, Prime Minister Modi said, it is my good fortune that the Kashi in which Lokmata Ahilya Bai did so much work of development, that Kashi has also given me the opportunity to serve. Today, if you go to Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev, you will also find the statue of Devi Ahilya Bai there. Devi Ahilya Bai was a great protector of India’s heritage. When the country’s culture, our temples, our pilgrimage sites were being attacked, then Lokmata took the initiative to protect them. She rebuilt many of our temples and pilgrimage sites across the country, including Kashi Vishwanath.”
Recalling the works of Ahilyabai, Prime Minister Modi said, “On hearing the name of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a feeling of reverence wells up in the mind. Words fall short to describe her great personality. Devi Ahilyabai is a symbol that when there is willpower, strong resolve, then no matter how adverse the circumstances are, results can be achieved. 250-300 years ago, when the country was in the shackles of slavery, doing such great work that many generations to come would talk about it, is easy to say, but not easy to do. Ahilyabai never considered service to God and service to the people as separate. It is said that she always carried a Shivling with her.”
