Some leaders focus on Jacuzzi-stylish shower’, PM Modi taunts Kejriwal

New Delhi, February 4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday responded to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha. On one hand, while he listed the achievements of his government, he also attacked the opposition fiercely. PM Modi, while referring to the Sheeshmahal, strongly attacked former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

He took a dig at Kejriwal without naming him and said that some leaders are focused on Jacuzzi-stylish shower.

In the Lok Sabha, PM Modi also targeted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal while referring to the Sheeshmahal.

He said that today there is a lot of discussion in the media. It is happening more on social media. Some leaders are focused on Jacuzzi and stylish shower in luxurious houses. But, our focus is on providing tap water to every home. After 75 years of independence, 70-75% of the population in the country, i.e. more than 16 crore people did not have tap connection. Our government has provided tap water to 12 crore families in five years. We have done so much work for the poor, which the President has mentioned in detail in his speech.

Prime Minister Modi further cornered Kejriwal and said, “Earlier, newspaper headlines were related to scams and corruption. It has been 10 years, crores of rupees of the country are saved, which are being used to serve the public. We have taken many steps, which have saved a lot of money. But, we have not used that money to build a Sheeshmahal, rather we have used that money to build the country.”

He said that a WHO report has come, according to which, due to getting pure water from the tap, the average family has saved Rs 40,000, which was spent on other diseases. There are many such schemes, which have saved the expenses of the common man.

PM Modi said that before 2014, such bombs and shells were thrown, such bullets were fired that the lives of the countrymen were shattered. We slowly moved forward healing those wounds. In 2013-14, there was no income tax on income up to Rs 2 lakh, whereas today (2025-26) there will be no income tax on income up to Rs 12 lakh.
