New Delhi, February 19. Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta will become the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Her name was approved in the BJP Legislature Party meeting on Wednesday evening.
Rekha Gupta posted on social media platform X soon after this. She wrote, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the top leadership for trusting me and entrusting me with the responsibility of the post of Chief Minister. This trust and support of yours has given me new energy and inspiration. I pledge that I will work with full honesty, integrity and dedication for the welfare, empowerment and overall development of every citizen of Delhi. I am fully committed to this important opportunity to take Delhi to new heights.”
Let us tell you that in a grand swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on Thursday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena will administer the oath of office and secrecy to her. Rekha Gupta has been elected MLA for the first time from Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh seat. He defeated AAP’s Bandana Kumari by a margin of 29,595 votes. The results of the Delhi Assembly elections were declared on February 8. The BJP got a historic victory after 26 years.
The first copy of the invitation for the swearing-in ceremony has surfaced. In this invitation letter, the Chief Secretary has invited everyone to attend the ceremony. According to the invitation letter, the swearing-in will take place at 12 noon at Ramlila Maidan.
According to the timetable of the swearing-in ceremony, the guests of the swearing-in ceremony will arrive and take their seats between 11-12 noon. The nominated Chief Minister and nominated ministers will arrive at 12:10 pm. LG will arrive at the swearing-in ceremony at 12:15 pm. Union Home Minister and other leaders will arrive at 12:20 pm. Prime Minister Modi will arrive at 12:25 pm. At the same time, the national anthem will be played to the tune of the band at 12:30 pm. LG will administer the oath to the Chief Minister at 12.35 pm.
