The New Delhi Municipal Council approved 37 nos. of proposals in its meeting

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in its Council Meeting held on 26th December 2020 under the chairmanship of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Delhi in the presence of it members, Member of Parliament – New Delhi – Smt.Meenakashi Lekhi and Member & MLA – NDMC, Shri Virender Singh Kadiyan apart from Chairperson-NDMC, Shri Dharmendra and Secretary-NDMC, Shri B.M.Mishra considered 37 proposals placed before it.

The Council approved the following proposals:-

Ø NDMC has been adjudged as the National Cleanest Capital in Swachh Survekshan 2020. Council has passed a resolution for declaring NDMC as 7-Star rated urban local body paving way for applying for 7-Star rating city under Swachh Bharat Mission.

Ø The Council has approved the proposal for payment of an amount of Rs. 200/- to the students of Class-10th and Class-12th of NDMC/Navyug Schools towards Data Package cost through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for attending Online Teaching Learning Activities till the schools are closed.

Ø The Council has approved the proposal for going ahead with the redevelopment of Khan Market Community Centre (KMCC), New Delhi.

Ø The council has approved for revision of the period of renewal of the Health License to five years from three years at present. This is in order to achieve ease of doing business for all trades and mentioned under Section-327 to 331 of NDMC Act-1994. TØ The Council has approved sending a proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs for considering regularization of 63 contractual doctors by amending the existing Recruitment Rules of the respective cadre of doctors (i.e. Allopathy, Ayurvedic Physician and Homoeopathy Physician).

Ø The Council has approved the revision of remuneration of salary and allowances to contractual doctors in NDMC as per the 7th CPC pay scales.

Ø The Council has approved the proposal for the Construction of 160 Type-III Flats at Sector-VI, Pushp Vihar, Saket, New Delhi (Composite work).

Ø The Council has approved Establishing an Additional 33KV Substation at AIIMS, New Delhi & Construction of 33/11KV below ground Electric Sub Station at Church Road, New Delhi.

Ø The Council has approved for Implementation of Smart Grid Infrastructure Including Enhancement of Existing Network in NDMC Power Distribution Area.

Ø The Council has approved the construction of Jai Prakash Naryan Library at Mandir Marg, New Delhi.

Ø The Council has approved the proposal for up-gradation of Laxmibai Nagar Barat Ghar with modern trends and comfort level.

Ø The Council was informed about the proposal for shifting of the statue of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant from the existing location at the corner of Plot No. 118 at the junction of Raisina Road and Red Crossroad in Rotary No.48 at the junction of Pt. Pant Marg and Church Road behind North Block by CPWD.
