New Delhi | Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing the Delhi Assembly session on the budget dispute on Tuesday, said that there is a group of illiterate people from top to bottom. CM said that the news was going on yesterday that the budget is more for advertisement than for infrastructure. While the budget for infrastructure is Rs 20,000 crore and that for advertisement is Rs 550 crore. There is a gathering of illiterate people from top to bottom.

He said, “Today the budget of Delhi was to be presented in the House. But the Center put a stop to that and we could not present the budget today (Tuesday). This is not just a constitutional crisis, it is an attack on the Constitution.

CM further said that Delhi’s budget is being sent to the Center against the basic structure of the Constitution. Although we follow this tradition, but for the first time this kind of interference has come to the fore.

Kejriwal further said, we had the option of going to court on this issue but we replied to his four comments. Eventually, the Center approved the budget.

Lieutenant Governor V.K. On the observation noted by Saxena, Kejriwal said, as per the Constitution, the LG has no right to make any comment. The Constitution and the Supreme Court order say that except in three cases, the LG will clear all other files, he does not have the authority to write on the files.

The CM accused the Center of delaying the budget approval, claiming that all officers were scared of the central government. He has received an order from the Ministry of Home Affairs to stop the budget file for three days. Our minister called repeatedly and then at 6 pm the file was sent. This was done only for the satisfaction of the ego.

Kejriwal said in his address, I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that we do not need to fight. Where there is fighting in the home, state and country, they are destroyed. If we work together, we will move forward.

After the Chief Minister’s address, the proceedings of the House have been adjourned for Wednesday. Delhi’s Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot will now present the budget on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri in a joint press conference alleged that Kejriwal was again deliberately lying to defame the central government.

Virendra Sachdeva said that every year the budget proposal of the Delhi Government is sent to the Union Home Ministry for approval through the Honorable Lieutenant Governor and the date of the budget is given only after the approval of the Ministry, but the Kejriwal government waited for the approval of the budget. Without doing so, the date has been announced. Delhi BJP spokesperson Harsh Khurana and Praveen Shankar Kapoor were also present during the press conference.
