New Delhi, February 19 . BJP MLA Rekha Gupta’s name has been announced as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. State Congress President Devendra Yadav congratulated her and appealed to fulfill the promises made to the public.
Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav said, “Hearty congratulations to Rekha Gupta on being nominated as the Chief Minister. I hope that under her leadership she will work towards fulfilling the promises made to the people of Delhi by the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
Rekha Gupta, elected MLA for the first time from Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh, met Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena on Wednesday night and staked claim to form the government in the state. Earlier, in the evening, she was elected the leader of the party in the BJP Legislature Party meeting.
On being elected as the leader of the Delhi BJP Legislative Party, Rekha Gupta said, “I thank the top leadership of BJP, PM Modi, the people of Delhi and the fellow MLAs for giving me this opportunity. A new chapter of Delhi is about to begin, the responsibility of development is on me, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone.”
Let us tell you that in a grand swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on Thursday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Rekha Gupta.

This trust and support of yours has given me new energy and inspiration.
