New Delhi: The students of Classes IV and V of Atal Adarsh Balika Vidyalaya, Gole Market, embarked on an enriching educational visit to Amrit Udyan, located within the prestigious premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.
The visit was organized with the aim of providing experiential learning and exposing young learners to India’s rich horticultural heritage. Under the guidance of the school’s Principal, Vice Principal, Headmistress, teachers, and staff members, the students explored the sprawling gardens known for their vibrant floral displays, lush green lawns, fountains, and rare plant species.
The blooming roses, tulips, and seasonal flowers captivated the students and offered them firsthand knowledge about various types of flora and modern gardening techniques. Teachers explained the historical significance of Amrit Udyan and its association with the President’s official residence. The students also learned about environmental conservation, landscaping practices, and sustainable gardening methods.

A special highlight of the visit was the section dedicated to herbal plants, where students gained insights into their medicinal properties and traditional uses.
School authorities described the trip as both educational and inspiring. “Such visits help students develop a deeper appreciation for nature and environmental responsibility,” a senior staff member shared. The discipline and enthusiasm demonstrated by the students throughout the visit were widely appreciated.
