2 ships of the Indian Navy brought medical oxygen from Kuwait

Mangaluru (Karnataka) | Two more ships of Indian Navy Kochi and Tabar arrived at New Mangaluru port on Tuesday with important medical supplies. A defense officer gave this information on Tuesday. The ship has reached the port with necessary medical supplies while carrying forward the Covid relief expedition Samudra Setu-2.

“2 more naval ships bring oxygen to Karnataka from Kuwait

“As part of Operation Samundra Setu-2, both ships with a total consignment of 100 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) in five containers and 1200 oxygen cylinders have reached India from Kuwait,” the official said in a statement here.

This shipment was handed over to the Indian Oil Corporation Limited officials for further necessary processing.

The ship sailed from Kuwait to India on 6 May 2021.

The latest consignment is different from 30 tonnes of oxygen, which were brought to the port city on Monday in 2 containers at INS Kolkata and 400 cylinders from Kuwait and Qatar.

The statement said that the Indian Oil Corporation has been given the responsibility of shipment for the supply of gas in the state.
