Drawing the nation’s attention to the Olympians in the audience, the Prime Minister said, “The athletes who have made us proud at the Tokyo Olympics are amongst us today. I request the nation to appreciate their achievement today. Not only has won our hearts but also inspired generations to come.
Perhaps for the first time, during the Prime Minister’s traditional address to the nation, there is such a huge presence of the sports community. 240 Olympians, including gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, his support staff, and officials from the Sports Authority of India and sports federations are present to hear the Prime Minister.
