New Delhi | The elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7. On the other hand, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa will vote on February 14. Apart from this, voting will be held in Manipur on 27 February and 3 March.
The Election Commission gave this information in a press conference on Saturday.
Elections are to be held in five states in the midst of the Kovid-19 crisis and in view of this, the Election Commission has emphasized on the conduct of polling in different phases.
The Election Commission on Saturday said that no political party is allowed roadshows, vehicle rallies and padayatra till January 15.
The Election Commission also advised all political parties to campaign in virtual (online) mode amid rising cases of Corona and the outbreak of the Omicron variant.
The Election Commission said that they aim to conduct Kovid-safe elections in 5 states with extensive preparation.
