After controversial remarks on Shivling, DU professor wrote to PM, seeking license of AK-56

New Delhi| Ratan Lal, a professor at Delhi University, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a letter to the Prime Minister, the professor has asked for the license of the AK-56 rifle. In fact, an FIR has been registered against Professor Ratan Lal for making some such comments on the claim of getting Shivling in Gyanvapi Masjid of Banaras. The professor questioned whether Aurangzeb did not give Dakshina to Brahmins, did not give Dakshina to temples. Many individuals and organizations have strongly objected to the comments made by Professor Ratan Lal about Shivling.

Ratan Lal, Professor of History in Delhi University says that all the people who are abusing me should not be FIR against them. There is no documentary evidence of when the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi was built. He called it a topic related to electoral politics. The professor said that if the debate is being made that there is a temple at the said place in Banaras, then I say that this agenda is being set for the 2024 elections.

Alleging that Professor Ratan Lal said that there is no faith of Dalit-backward and Muslim in this country, only faith belongs to you. He said that if you want to kill me, then kill me. There is no democracy in the country.

Professor Ratan Lal said that mosques should be excavated deep and if Buddhist viharas emerge there, then they should also be returned to Buddhists.

Professor Ratan Lal said that the student of history walks on his own accord. One can say that this glass of water is half full and another person can say that this glass of water is half empty. After this, the professor made objectionable remarks about the Shivling and said that the Shivling which does not seem to be broken, looks like a cut. After this, keeping facts related to Islam, he said controversial things about Shivling.

People opposing the things made by the professor say that he has said ridiculous things regarding Shivling. The professor has ridiculed the Shivling by linking it to a religious belief of Islam.

In response to this, Professor Ratan Lal said that even if a peepal leaf is broken, then the sentiments of some people get hurt. But now that people are abusing me, is my sentiment not getting hurt. This feeling is not carrot radish. I have given opinion and I have done PhD on Nationalist History. You may disagree with my opinion, but people are abusing me.

Professor Ratan Lal said that five lines have been drawn on the Shivling, who will explain it. He challenged the debate and said that debate. Create a forum for debate and invite historians.
