The sensational murder case of solved by team of PS Ashok Vihar.

 New Delhi:Accused Vicky S/o Surender @ Shailender R/o SS Nagar WPIA Ashok Vihar Delhi, and Tara Devi W/o Surender R/o SS Nagar, WPIA Ashok Vihar, Delhi were arrested, and 01 CCL was apprehended into the matter. PS Ashok Vihar solved a murder case registered vide FIR No. 67/24 U/s 302/201 IPC PS Ashok Vihar.

On 25.01.2024, Complainant Smt. Savirti Shukla W/o Lt. Ramugrah Shukla R/o Shahid Sukhdev Nagar, WPIA, Ashok Vihar, Delhi, Age- 55 Yrs, stated that her daughter namely Sapna Age-25 Years, was living with her husband Vicky S/o Surender. On dated 24 Dec 2023, she was going from there street, quarrel was going on between Sapna and his in-laws. When she tried to talk to her daughter she sent her to home. She tried many times to talk to her daughter but didn’t succeed. One day when she asked her mother in-law about Sapna. She told her that both them left the home. She tried to find their home but unable to find. On 25.01.24, she lodged a complaint regarding missing of her daughter in PS Ashok Vihar.

On 08.02.24, a call regarding dead body wrapped in a bed cover was found lying inside the pit at Green Belt near Railway Line, was received at PS Ashok Vihar. On the information, police staff of PS Ashok Vihar reached at the spot i.e. Green Belt near Railway Line. They found a female dead body wrapped in a bed cover was found lying inside the pit. The body was later identified as Sapna W/o Vicky, Age- 25 years by her mother Smt. Savitri Devi and other relatives on the basis of the tattoo of Sapna Vicky on the left hand and other features.The police staff carefully wrapped the body for Post-Mortem examination, overseen by an Executive Magistrate. Following the examination, the autopsy surgeon concluded that the cause of death was “Manual Strangulation (Throttling)” and categorized the manner of death as “Homicide,” shedding light on the tragic circumstances surrounding the demise.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 67/24 U/s 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Ashok vihar and investigation was taken up.

Team & Investigation:-

In view of the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team of PS Ashok Vihar led by Inspr. Sudhir, Insp. /Investigation comprising of SI Vipin, SI Vishal, ASI Jai Prakash, HC Balram, HC Karan, and Ct Bhupesh under the close supervision of SHO/PS Ashok Vihar Inspr. Ajay Singh Negi & Sh. Sanjeev Kumar ACP/Ashok Vihar and overall supervision of the undersigned was constituated.

During the investigation, the police staff discovered that Vickey’s mobile phone had been switched off since December 26, 2023, raising suspicions about his involvement in the crime. Based on information collected, and interrogation of various suspected persons finally the accused person Vicky S/o Surender R/o SS Nagar, WPIA, Ashok Vihar, Age- 19 Years was arrested from WPIA, SS Nagar, Near Railway lines.

During investigation accused Vickey stated that he committed the offence with the help of his Mother & Brother. Based on his disclosure statement, search of co-accused was made. Later, with the help local information, co-accused Tara Devi W/o Surender R/O SS Nagar, WPIA, Ashok Vihar, Delhi, Age-50 Years and 01 CCL were apprehended fromSS Nagar, WPIA and AzadPur respectively, by the team of PS Ashok Vihar. During interrogation, Vicky revealed that they had been married for about a year. He confessed that Sapna was pregnant with his child at the time of their marriage, but unfortunately, she suffered a miscarriage in October 2023 due to her anemia. Vicky admitted that their relationship took a downward spiral after this tragedy, characterized by daily alcohol consumption and frequent arguments. He further disclosed that on the night of December 26, 2023, a heated argument escalated into violence, resulting in Sapna’s tragic death at the hands of Vicky. Subsequently her body was buried in a pit at the Green Belt the following night. All accused Persons were arrested accordingly. Further investigation is in progress.
