The theme of a Durga Puja pandal in Lalbagan Nabankur, Kolkata has been made according to the environment. This pandal is not only giving the message of greenery but people are also getting attracted towards this pandal.
In fact, many types of plants have been planted in the Durga Puja pandal. Also, the idol of Maa Durga has also been made eco-friendly. The message of “Save the environment and save life” is also being given through this pandal.
Arunav Roy, a member of the Durga Puja pandal committee, said that Maa Durga’s pandal has been made eco-friendly. During the day, the pandal gives the feel of a greenhouse and at night, it will show dazzling lights, which further enhances its beauty. This pandal has been decorated with 8,000 natural plants. If we have to fight against increasing pollution, then we have to promote such things which save the environment.
Talking about the idea of Durga Pandal, he said, “There was a discussion between our secretary and artist about this year’s Durga Puja pandal, then an idea about the environment came up. Only after this, the pandal has been made according to the environment. We will recycle these plants after Durga Puja is over.”
