Delhi Election: Atishi-Manish Sisodia made serious allegations against BJP-Police, also raised questions on Election Commission

New Delhi, February 4. Political rhetoric has intensified in the election atmosphere of Delhi. Chief Minister Atishi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Kalkaji assembly seat, on Tuesday accused the Delhi Police and the Election Commission of being biased in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Atishi alleged in a press conference that the game of electoral malpractices is going on openly in Delhi and the police and the Election Commission are not taking any action on these malpractices. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also present with him on this occasion.

Atishi claimed that on February 3, instead of taking action against the Bharatiya Janata Party workers, the police chased away people close to the BJP from the spot. He told that some people, about whom he had received information that they were members of the BJP, were left by the Delhi Police without any concrete reason.

The Chief Minister also alleged that two youths Sagar Mehta and Ashmit Singh, who were reporting election irregularities, were not only kept in the police station by the police, but were also beaten up. The video of this incident has also been shared on social media, which shows the misbehavior of the police.

Atishi said, “All these incidents have happened in front of the Election Commission, but the Commission has not taken any concrete steps on these issues.” She said that when she complained to the Election Commission and the police, both did not show any interest in taking any action. Instead, the complainants were harassed by the police.

Atishi expressed anger towards the Election Commission and said that today the people of Delhi are seeing that the Election Commission and the police are not taking any action on the wrongdoings being done by the BJP. She alleged that the people of BJP are behaving abusively against women and are openly distributing money on the streets, which is causing irregularities in the elections.

Manish Sisodia also attacked the Election Commission and the BJP. He said that the Election Commission of India was earlier an example in the whole world, but now it is working under the pressure of the BJP. He said that the Election Commission should perform its duties and respect the democratic rights of the people of Delhi.

He said that the people of Delhi are wise and they will take the right decision with their votes this time. He also asked the Election Commission whether all this is open electoral fraud, which is flouting the law.
