Domestic airlines issue fresh travel advisory, some flights cancelled till May 10

New Delhi, May 7  Domestic airlines on Wednesday issued a fresh advisory for air travellers. Following the authority’s notification, some more flights have been cancelled till May 10.

In this notification, passengers have been asked to check their flight status before going to the airport.

Air India said, “Flights to Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot on both sides are being cancelled till 5:29 am on May 10.”

The airline said that passengers holding valid tickets during this period will be given a one-time waiver on rescheduling charges or a full refund will be offered for cancellation.

According to IndiGo, “Due to the government notification on airspace restrictions, more than 165 IndiGo flights from several airports (Amritsar, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Gwalior, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Leh, Rajkot and Srinagar) have been cancelled till 5:29 am on May 10, 2025.”

Passengers have been asked to check flight status on the airline’s website or mobile app before heading to the airport.

The low-cost airline said in a latest post on X, “Customers whose flights are affected can reschedule the booking on the next available flight or choose to cancel their booking at no additional cost, after which a full refund will be processed. These changes can be managed directly through our website.” Earlier, SpiceJet said, “Due to the prevailing situation, airports in parts of north India including Dharamsala (DHM), Leh (IXL), Jammu (IXJ), Srinagar (SXR) and Amritsar (ATQ) are closed till further notice.”

It added, “Departures, arrivals and other flights may be affected. Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and check flight status.”
