New Delhi, June 9 . Former Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh has described the Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvanshi case as very serious. He said on Monday that society has rarely seen such a crime. The way a vicious mind conspired to end the life of a newly married person is very disturbing.
Former DGP Vikram Singh said that Sonam had not booked a return ticket as per the plan. This marriage was done with full dedication and thoughtfulness. After marriage, the accused Sonam had planned it. Only those people go to such remote places whose aim is to murder someone. The police have brought the case to its conclusion in a very short time.
He said that Sonam’s family is demanding a CBI inquiry. The way the present police and investigators have worked, I am confident that it will be successfully solved. This case should be heard in a fast track court and the culprits should be punished as soon as possible. There is no justification to give the investigation of this case to any other investigator or agency. Meghalaya Police has successfully solved the case and all the police forces related to the case have cooperated in this.
Let us tell you that in this entire case, the police allege that 25-year-old Sonam Raghuvanshi hired killers to kill her 30-year-old husband Raja when they were on a trip to the small state of Meghalaya in the Northeast. Four people have also been arrested in this entire case.
Sonam’s father Devi Singh defended his daughter and said that “she is innocent and she cannot do this.”
According to the Meghalaya Police, Sonam planned the murder under the guise of honeymoon. Police claim that Sonam was having an affair with Raj Kushwaha, who was an accountant in her brother Gaurav Raghuvanshi’s company. The knife used in the murder has also been recovered.
