New Delhi, August 20 A major administrative step has been taken towards making law and order more strong and effective in the national capital Delhi. The Delhi government has issued an official order on Wednesday transferring 18 IPS and DANIPS officers.
Under this reshuffle, many senior officers have been assigned new and important responsibilities. Under this order, senior officer Mahendra Nath Tiwari, who was earlier working as Joint Commissioner of Police (Security), has now been given the responsibility of Joint Commissioner of Police (New Delhi Range).
At the same time, Aslam Khan has been removed from the post of Joint Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) and now made Joint Commissioner of Police (Security). In this reshuffle, Vijay Singh has been removed from the post of Joint Commissioner of Police (Transport) and posted in the Northern Range, while Dumbre Milind Mahadev has been appointed ‘on arrival’ to the post of Joint Commissioner of Police (Transport Range).
Deepak Purohit, who was till now posted in New Delhi Range, has been given the new charge of Joint Commissioner of Police (Security-PM).
Apart from this, Rajiv Ranjan Singh has been removed from Joint Commissioner of Police (Northern Range) and appointed OSD to CP Delhi.
There has also been a change at the Additional CP level. Guguloth Amritha will now play the role of Additional CP (Vigilance), while Mohammad Akhtar Rizvi has been sent to the post of Additional CP (PCR).
Many important transfers have also been made at the DCP level. Sharad Bhaskar Darade has been appointed DCP West District from DCP Traffic, while Vichitra Veer, who was in West District, will now become DCP IGI Airport.
Mohammad Irshad Haider has been made DCP EOW from ‘on arrival’. At the same time, Pankaj Kumar has been removed from the post of DCP (PCR) and given the responsibility of DCP (Crime) and Pawan Kumar will now hold the post of DCP (PCR).
Krishan Kumar has been appointed DCP Special Cell and Vikram K. Porwal has been appointed DCP Traffic.
This entire reshuffle process is being considered a big step towards making the law and order in the capital Delhi more strong and effective.
