India will contribute significantly in developing and increasing production of Corona vaccine: PM Modi

The Prime Minister said that in view of the current challenges, Indian companies are making active efforts to prepare the Corona vaccine.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that whenever there is a discovery of coronavirus vaccine in the world, India will have an important contribution to developing it and increasing its production. Prime Minister Modi said this while addressing the ongoing India Global Week 2020 in Britain online on Thursday. The Prime Minister said that India fulfills two-thirds of the demand for all types of vaccines given to children worldwide. The Prime Minister said that in view of the current challenges, Indian companies are making active efforts to prepare the Corona vaccine.

At the inauguration of India Global Week 2020, Modi also said that India is still one of the most open economies in the world and there are very few countries that provide as many opportunities as India. He said, “While India is steadily combating the global epidemic, on the other hand, we are also focusing on the health of the economy, worrying about the health of the people.”

The Prime Minister said that Indians are naturally reformers and history shows that whenever a challenge came, whether social or economic, India won it. Modi also appealed to the global community to invest in India, elaborating on the steps taken by the government to revive the economy during the Corona transition period.

He said, “India is still one of the world’s most open economies.” We are laying the red carpet for all the companies of the world to make their presence felt in India. Very few countries provide the opportunities that India is providing today. “The Prime Minister said that India is ready to do whatever it can for the good and prosperity of India and the world.” He said that “self-sufficient India” does not mean that the doors to the world were closed.
