Mamta did a 5 km long roadshow on a wheelchair in Kolkata

Kolkata | A day after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was discharged from the state SSKM hospital, a five-km-long roadshow was held here on Sunday with her nephew and MP Abhishek Banerjee. Mamta left in a wheelchair during the roadshow. The ruling Trinamool Congress organized a 5-km-long roadshow from Mayo Road to celebrate ‘Nandigram Day’.

In the roadshow, Mamata led in a wheelchair and was followed by hundreds of people and a group of other Trinamool leaders. During this, Mamata said that nothing will stop her from protecting the democratic rights of the people of Bengal.

He said, “We will continue to fight fearlessly. I am still in a lot of pain, but I am feeling the pain of my people even more.”

Mamta said that in this fight to protect the revered land, she will continue to roam around Bengal in this wheelchair. He said, “If I go to bed rest, who will be able to reach people .. We have suffered a lot and we will suffer more, but we will never bow down to cowardice.” He said, his goal is strong despite being hurt and unwell.

During the roadshow, Abhishek Banerjee appealed to the people not to vote for the Left-Congress-ISF grand alliance. At the same time, Mamta said, “Outsiders in Bengal will not be able to come to power. We will win the election with the help of a broken leg and return to Nabanno once again.”

Mamta Banerjee suffered a leg injury as she got out of the car during the election campaign in Nandigram in East Midnapore on Wednesday evening. He was airlifted to Kolkata the same night through the Green Channel and admitted to the Government SSKM Hospital. Mamta was discharged from the hospital on Friday evening.

As per the schedule of his campaign, the Chief Minister of West Bengal has to visit three districts – Purulia, Bankura, and Jhargram – from Monday. Sources said that Mamta will travel to all these districts by helicopter, but will be sitting in a wheelchair during the journey, as her leg injury has not yet fully recovered.
