New Delhi: Taking strong objection, the All India Minority Front (AIMF) has demanded immediate arrest of News18 India anchor Amish Devgan for the objectionable remark he has made against world renowned saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti on his show.
“I request the Maharashtra Government to arrest News18 India anchor Amish Devgan under relevant IPC laws to maintain peace and tranquility in the country,” said Mr SM Asif, national president of AIMF.
He clarified, “Insulting such a great Sufi saint for TRP and trying to disrupt peace in the country by such remarks will not be tolerated.”
Mr Asif pointed out that Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz is respected not only by Muslims but has devotees across all the faiths in the world.
