New Delhi, February 19 Rekha Gupta’s name has been announced as the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Her name was approved in the BJP Legislature Party meeting in Delhi on Wednesday. BJP leaders, while talking to news agency IANS, expressed happiness over the selection of the Shalimar Bagh MLA.
BJP Lok Sabha MP Praveen Khandelwal said, “It is a matter of great pride that the Chief Minister of Delhi is from my Lok Sabha constituency. We will all work with full strength in Delhi. BJP will fulfill each of its resolutions in Delhi.”
BJP leader Kuljit Singh Chahal said, “Rekha ji has a long experience. Giving a woman CM to Delhi reflects PM Modi’s message regarding women empowerment. She has experience of student politics, corporation and organization. The government and the organization will benefit from this. Our new team will move forward with PM Modi’s resolution of developed India and developed Delhi.”
BJP MLA from Trinagar Assembly Tilakram Gupta expressed happiness and said, “BJP government has been formed in Delhi after 27 years and a woman is becoming the Chief Minister. Our leader is very hardworking and combative. We will work for the development of Delhi.”
BJP MLA from Mehrauli Gajendra Yadav said, “BJP is such a party which makes its policy keeping in mind all sections of the society. Today in the legislative party meeting, Rekha Gupta has been elected leader. I wish her all the best. She has reached here from student politics. I am sure that she will develop Delhi well.”
MLA Karnail Singh thanked the top leadership of BJP for choosing Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister of Delhi. He said, “PM Modi took a very good decision by giving a woman Chief Minister to Delhi. I pray to God that the BJP government in Delhi runs well.”
