New Delhi, October 5 Amid the opposition’s claims of increasing unemployment in the country, the new figures presented by the government are showing the opposite situation. According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, employment opportunities in the country increased by 36 percent between 2016-17 and 2022-23 and 1.7 crore people got new jobs.

The average growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during the same period was 6.5 percent.

According to the ministry, employment data obtained from the Reserve Bank of India’s KLEMS database shows a steady increase in employment since the 1980s.

The ministry said, “India has registered a significant increase in employment in the last few years. The country’s economic progress reflects sustained job creation in key sectors. With a strong democracy, dynamic economy and a culture that celebrates unity in diversity, India’s journey towards becoming a global superpower continues to inspire the world.”

PLFS data from 2017 to 2023 also shows that the worker population ratio (WPR) has increased from 34.7 per cent to 43.7 during this period, showing an increase of about 26 per cent.

The ministry has pointed out that the country’s economic growth is driven by consumption, which is directly linked to employment. An increase in consumption means that employment is being created. At the same time, if employment generation was mainly in low-wage jobs, consumption would have declined.

Estimates show that for every one per cent increase in gross value added (GVA) during the period 2017-23, jobs increased by 1.11 per cent.

“The supply-side argument that services generate fewer jobs is contrary to these observations. Hence, from both the supply and demand sides, the country’s economic trajectory is not headed towards any kind of unemployment,” the ministry stressed.

The country’s economic performance in FY2023-24 reflects strong growth. Real GDP is projected to grow by 8.2 per cent in FY2023-24 as compared to an economic growth rate of seven per cent in FY2022-23.

Further, nominal GDP is seen growing at a rate of 9.6 per cent in FY2023-24 as compared to a growth rate of 14.2 per cent in FY2022-23.

New Delhi, September 27 . Due to the increasing trend of air travel and religious travel in the country, employment opportunities in the travel and hospitality sector are increasing.

The Employment Outlook Report for the first half of FY 2025 released by TeamLease Services said that more than three out of every five (about 64 percent) employers in this sector are increasing their workforce due to increasing demand.

The report said that the sector is set for an annual growth rate of 8 to 10 percent, which shows that the industry remains booming. The report further stated that 19 percent of employers want to reduce employees. At the same time, 17 percent of employers do not want to make any change in the number of employees.

Karthik Narayan, Chief Executive, Staffing, TeamLease Services, said that due to the increasing demand for premium travel and technology-based changes, the way the industry operates is changing.

The reason for the increase in employment opportunities in the travel sector is the growth of the domestic travel market and the availability of artificial intelligence (AI)-based tech services such as ghost kitchens and personalized guest experiences.

The report said that 44 percent of employers want to grow their business through digital and offline promotions. It further said that by the end of 2025, the number of gig workers in the industry can increase to 15 to 20 percent. Apart from this, the number of seasonal jobs can increase by 25 to 30 percent during peak season. Four out of every five employers (about 82 percent) in the travel and hospitality sector are giving priority to sales.

The deceased has been identified as Mustaqeem, who was a resident of the same area. He used to work as a salesman in a garment shop located in Chandni Chowk.

According to the police, PCR received a call at 1 am on Tuesday in which it was said that a youth was shot dead. After receiving the information, the police immediately reached the crime scene.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Joy Tirkey said, “Mustakeem was shot on the chest, after which he was immediately taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors. After this, his body was referred to GTB Hospital for  a post-mortem.””

Initial investigation revealed that Sohail Khan (22), resident of New Seelampur, and Mustaqeem had decided to meet a girl named Ishrat at around 12.30 in the night.

The DCP said, “Mustaqim and Sohail were friends. Four years ago, Sohail married Ishrat and now they have a daughter. However, they both got divorced in 2023. Ishrat worked as a bar girl in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad. “Works at ‘The Bang Bang Bar’.”

Now Irshat wanted to marry Yasin, who is a resident of Chauhan Bangar.

“On the day of the incident, Yasin received the news of Sohail and Mustaqeem meeting Ishrat, which led to the confrontation,” the DCP said.

Yasin shot Mustaqeem three times.

DCP said, “Empty shells and one live shell of 7.65 mm have been recovered from the incident site. Yasin is still away from the police’s custody. However, the police is continuing its efforts to arrest him.”

Work for India because India is the best”

We have seen in India over the past few decades that there is a rise in population. Every year we have thousands and Lakh of students who are graduating but they are not able to find suitable jobs according to their degree. “We call it unemployment”.

Nowadays students and working professionals are opting to go out in the U.S, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany because they are not able to find good employment opportunities in India.  The current unemployment has been the highest since the last 45 years. This is really a concerning situation for all of us and we should take the necessary steps to improve this situation. Steps should be taken by the government administration on skilling programs, building up new industries etc. They should be paid according to their degrees, giving more and more benefits so that it motivates them to search for jobs within India.

India is a growing economy and there is a lot of scope in India. In this pandemic, we are following local to vocal that means India is now making everything on its own. People will get jobs, work and all the needs they want. They will also get all the benefits and opportunities in India and there will be no need to go outside India. If we all follow these steps to develop industries, the more people will get work that will lead to more employment. Our status and currency will improve and our culture would be protected.  “India is the best “

TORONTO | Canada will accept a record of 401,000 new migrants in 2021, against the normal annual figure of 350,000. This figure will be increased to 411,000 in 2022 and 421,000 in 2023 to meet the shortfall in 2020 in this direction due to restrictions due to Kovid-19.

This is heartening news for Indians, as they tend to be significantly higher in people from outside countries settling in Canada.

In fact, Indian immigration to Canada has increased rapidly in the last three to four years. While 39,340 Indian expatriates reached Canada in 2016. The figure rose to 85,000 in 2019, registering an increase of 105 percent.

The rapid growth of Indian immigration to Canada includes a number of factors including US policies and lack of IT and healthcare professionals.

Similarly, the number of Indian students coming to Canada has increased from 76,075 in 2016 to 219,855 in 2019, an increase of nearly 300 percent.

Due to a record number of students and newcomers, Indians have become one of the fastest-growing communities in Canada, surpassing 1.6 million in a country of over 37 million.

As Canada’s birth rate has declined, this constitutes 82 percent of the population growth of new immigrants. In addition, new people also bring billions of dollars to Canada each year.

Along with this, sectors like health, information and technology and farming cannot survive without new migrants here.

Since about 60 percent of the immigrants fall in the economic category, they also support the economy by starting new businesses.

Government data stated that more than 33 percent of businesses are owned by new people, as the Canadian ecosystem encourages people to become entrepreneurs, not job seekers.

Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino on Friday highlighted the important role of newcomers while announcing new immigration targets. He said that there is a need to provide skills to our businesses, but this can be done only by starting their own businesses.

Shubham, who considers his father as a role model, says that even in the period of financial bankruptcy, his father’s ‘Die from Spirit’ inspired him a lot …

New Delhi, Motivational Story: There comes a time in everyone’s life when things are happening against you, or even if you try many times, there is no failure. But, should we sit down with disappointment from failure? Every defeat goes by teaching us that more effort is needed. So we should not stop trying. Whether our victory is guaranteed in our next or final attempt.

The story of Shubham Gupta, who secured the 6th rank in the IAS Examination of 2018, shared the story of success and struggle as well as his preparation strategy. Shubham Gupta attempted for the fourth time in the IAS exam and secured the sixth position in the All India Rank list. Shubham did not give up on not achieving his goal even after three attempts, and finally achieved his goal in the fourth attempt.

First attempt in 2015

Shubham made his first attempt in the year 2015, but he could not pass the preliminary examination. Then in the year 2016, he made his second attempt and cleared all stages – prelims, mains and interviews and achieved the rank of 366. Due to which he was selected in Indian Audit and Account Service. Shubham tried again in the year 2017, but this time he could not clear the prelims exam. This was his third attempt. But Shubham Gupta still did not give up and in the year 2018, he tried for the fourth time and got the 6th rank in the IAS Exam 2018.

The family was financially strapped, used to study along with work at the shop

Shubham completed his early education from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Then due to financial constraints his family shifted to Dahanu Road, a small village in Maharashtra. Shubham completed his education from 8th to 12th in a school near Vapi, Gujarat. Shubham and his family struggled financially for some time. To help his family, Shubham worked every day at the family shop on Dahanu Road after completing his school in Vapi. But he never compromised on his studies even in the days of struggle. So he used to take his books to the shop to use his time both at school and in the shop. He also studied while working. In this way Shubham got good marks in his school examination.

Trust yourself and get success

Shubham explains that the most important thing to prepare for the exam is to believe in yourself. Both success and failure are part of life and one should not feel despair at the time of failure. The second most important thing is to give 100% of your preparation. Try to find and create an environment that helps you bring out your best abilities.

Preparing for such preliminary examination

Shubham started preparing for the preliminary exam in the year 2015 and he started reading the newspaper first. This helped them to know what is happening around in matters like environment, national and international affairs or the Indian economy. Then he started preparing for the subject. Picked a topic and then read the NCERT book related to that topic. They divided courses and completed the subjects one by one. At the same time, he also practiced mock test to assess his strength and weakness.

This is the strategy created for the main exam

Shubham explains that for the main exam you have to get deep knowledge of the subjects to express yourself well in the exam. I started making notes for my optional subject right from the beginning of my preparatory exam preparation. I mainly focused on answer writing practice. I used to give GS 1, 2 3, 4 papers, optional 1 and 2 subject papers and at least 2 mock tests of essay writing papers. Your focus should be to complete the paper, even if you do not know the answer in the descriptive paper.

Important points of interview round

According to Shubham, the most important thing in the interview round is to maintain your level of confidence and patience. Try to manage your stress level before the interview. Shubham says that I used to eat chocolate to make myself calm and relaxed. Then when you enter the interview board room, try to calm yourself in the beginning of 2 minutes. If you are able to greet the interviewer well and take your seat well in the first few minutes of the interview, it will help build your confidence and help you answer knowledge-based questions. During the interview, try to bring the interviewer’s attention to the topics you are aware of. This does not mean that you can lead the interview. But, whenever you get a chance to lead an interview, take it and make the most of it.

Father is role model

Shubham explains that my role model is my father, because he has struggled a lot in his life. He managed to improve and bring balance to our lives even while battling financial bankruptcy. His ‘Never Say Die Spirit’ really inspires me.
