Covid Containment Zone, a residential colony of Gurugram declared

Gurugram| It was declared a containment zone after 20 cases of infection from Covid-19 were detected in a residential settlement located in Sector-67, Gurugram. A health department official gave this information on Sunday. The settlement was declared a Covid-prone area on Thursday. It is reported that the people living in this building got infected after attending a party organized in a restaurant here in early February.

According to the information, the party took place on 7 February, where about seven people, mostly elderly citizens, became infected with Corona. The corona investigation report of about 12 people later came out positive on different days.

Civil surgeon Virendra Yadav of Gurugram said, “At this time, around 20 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in this colony. We cannot comment on the source of infection. A team from the Health Department has contacted them. , Which have been found to be covid-19 positive. ”

He said, “So far we have collected over 780 samples from this colony. We have directed the residents to strictly follow the Covid-19 norms. Joint Commissioner of Gurugram Municipal Corporation (MCG) Jitendra Kumar and Executive Engineer Raman Yadav said that he has been appointed as the Cluster Incharge and Incident Commander respectively.

The Health Department said that it has held a meeting with the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of this colony and has directed the residents to ensure their investigation.

According to residents, the lack of social distance in the gathering was the main reason for the spread of the infection. Most of the four-story towers in this settlement are 800 flats.

The district official said that all necessary steps have been taken to prevent corona and the movement of people to the restricted areas has been restricted. In case of no new case after 14 days, the curb will be removed.
