Delhi: 1.34 Crore Vaccine Purchase Approved, Free Vaccine to All Above 18 Years

New Delhi| The Delhi government has approved the purchase of one crore 34 lakh vaccines for the prevention of corona. This vaccine will be made available free of cost to all Delhiites above 18 years of age. With this, Delhi has demanded from the central government that the vaccine should have the same price in the whole country. The price at which the vaccine is being made available to the central government should be made available to the state governments at the same price. According to the Delhi government, if necessary, the central government should determine the value of the vaccine. Central Government should take steps and provisions should be made for a uniform price.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Corona has witnessed tremendous havoc all over the country. In view of this, the Government of Delhi has approved the purchase of one crore 34 lakh vaccine on Monday morning. This purchase will be done as soon as possible and all Delhiites will be vaccinated. In Delhi, all people above the age of 18 years will be vaccinated for free.

Chief Minister Kejriwal said, one company has said that the vaccine should be made available to the states for Rs 400 and the other manufacturer company for Rs 600. While these companies are providing their vaccine to the central government for Rs 150.

The Chief Minister said that the vaccine should be made available to the State Governments at the same price at which the vaccine is being made available to the Central Government. I saw an interview with the owner of a vaccine manufacturer, in which he says that he is making a profit even if he sells the vaccine for Rs 150. So in such a situation, these companies will earn manifold profits by selling the vaccine for 400 and 600 rupees.

Kejriwal said that human service is needed today, so we also appeal to these vaccine manufacturers that they bring the vaccine to the states for Rs 150 as well. If needed, the central government should fix the vaccine so that the vaccine can be made available to the states at a lower cost.

The Chief Minister said that the corona is also affecting children below 18 years of age. Therefore, vaccines should be developed for children as well and if this vaccine can be applied to children then arrangements should be made to provide vaccines to children as well.

Chief Minister Kejriwal said that Corona was also in a similar fashion in England. There, large-scale vaccines have been used to prevent the havoc of Corona. Therefore, we have to understand that the vaccine is a great solution for the prevention of corona.
