Delhi-born former Pakistan army chief General Musharraf was responsible for the Kargil war

New Delhi: General Pervez Musharraf, former President and Army Chief of Pakistan, passed away on Sunday. He breathed his last at the age of 79 in Dubai. Pervez Musharraf was behind the Kargil war between India and Pakistan. In this war, the Indian Army had soured the teeth of Pakistan. Musharraf was born on 11 August 1943 in Daryaganj, Delhi, about 2 km from the New Red Fort. His family migrated to Pakistan during the partition. Before partition, his mother had studied at Aligarh Muslim University. According to defense experts, Musharraf did not involve more people of Pakistan in his decisions regarding infiltration and fighting in Kargil. Experts also point out that General Musharraf created confusion among his own three armies regarding the Kargil war. Former Pakistan Army Chief Pervez Musharraf was ill for a long time. He was living in exile in Dubai for years and his treatment was also going on here.

According to medical experts, Pakistan’s former military dictator Pervez Musharraf was suffering from amyloidosis. He struggled with this serious illness for a long time. This is an extremely rare disease. When this disease occurs, a protein called amyloid starts forming in the body parts. Due to this protein, different parts of the human body stop working at different times. Due to this disease, the patient’s vital organs such as liver, kidney, heart, and nervous system are also affected at different levels. The condition gradually becomes serious and finally the patient dies.

Pervez Musharraf was affected by such disease. During the last few years, he had also mentioned his ill health several times. Fighting his serious illness, Pervez Musharraf breathed his last in Dubai on Sunday, February 5.

Talking about the early days of the life of the former army chief of Pakistan Army, before partition, Pervez Musharraf and his family lived in a canal mansion in Daryaganj, Delhi. Pervez Musharraf’s mother Begum Zareen Musharraf had visited India in 2005. Then she also went to Lucknow, Delhi and Aligarh Muslim University.

Pervez Musharraf’s father Syed Musharrafuddin graduated from Aligarh Muslim University (Uttar Pradesh). He remained in the Civil Services in India, but after partition in 1947, he joined the Pakistan Civil Services. Born in 1920, Pervez Musharraf’s mother Zareen grew up in Lucknow. Musharraf’s mother Zareen obtained her post graduation degree from Lucknow University in 1944.
