Delhi CM presents report of 100 days of work, attacks AAP over corruption

New Delhi, May 30  Attacking the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for creating a ‘Sheeshmahal’ of corruption, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday vowed to serve the people with full dedication. She also released a workbook on the performance of the first 100 days of her tenure.

Addressing the media on the occasion of the release of her cabinet’s 100-day report card at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday, Rekha Gupta said, “The previous government was focused only on making ‘naam’, our government is focused on ‘kaam’ (service).”

She said the previous government was built on 10 years of corruption and sharing of loot, but our government is dedicated to serving the people. He alleged that the previous AAP government built a corruption-ridden ‘Sheeshmahal’ worth crores of rupees, installed curtains and TVs worth lakhs of rupees and spent the money earned through corruption on self-praise and publicity.

Earlier, CM Gupta described the 100-day workbook as an “important document” of the national capital’s momentous development journey. Announcing the ruling BJP’s plan, he said the recently released workbook on his government’s performance will be distributed to people in all 70 assembly constituencies.

“During the first 100 days, the focus is completely on public welfare and development. In programmes organised in each assembly and MCD ward, our leaders will present a report card of the work done in the last 100 days and share a blueprint of their future plans,” the chief minister said.

Earlier, Education Minister Ashish Sood said the Delhi government has taken concrete steps for skill development. “The Directorate of Training and Technical Education is signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with four companies, including Maruti and Suzuki Motorcycle, to train Delhi students in their laboratories,” he said.
