New Delhi| Barring only a few activities in Delhi, all other business activities will be allowed to run smoothly from Monday. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that from Monday, all shops, markets and malls in Delhi have been allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm. Permission has also been given to open restaurants at all places in Delhi. Now restaurants in Delhi can be opened at 50 percent capacity.
Last week, markets, malls were allowed to open on an odd-even basis but now all shops are allowed to open.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that some business activities in Delhi will be completely closed. While many business activities will be allowed to start in a controlled manner.
Banquet halls are not currently allowed to be used for weddings in Delhi. A weekly market has been allowed in each zone. Weddings cannot gather more than 20 people. Marriages can only take place at home or in court.
Not more than 20 people are allowed to attend the funeral. Delhi Metro will run with 50 percent capacity as before. Similarly, Delhi’s buses will also operate with 50 percent capacity.
Autos and e-rickshaws have also been allowed but they are not allowed to accommodate more than two passengers. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that religious places are being opened in Delhi but now devotees will not be allowed to come here.
Government offices can be opened in a systematic manner in the activities which have been allowed in a controlled manner. Private offices will open only with 50 percent staff. The Chief Minister said that private offices should give preference to work from home as much as possible.
All schools, colleges, coaching institutes will remain closed in Delhi. Any such event related to social, political, sports, entertainment and various festivals in which a crowd of people gathers is not allowed.
Swimming pools, stadiums, sports complexes, cinemas, theaters and multiplexes will remain closed. Entertainment parks, amusement parks and water parks will remain closed. The banquet hall, auditorium and assembly hall will remain closed. Business to business exhibitions, spas, gyms, yoga institutes, public parks and gardens will also remain closed in Delhi for the time being.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that if the cases of corona continue to decrease like this, then gradually the life and economy of all of us will come back on track.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “We will keep an eye on all the activities for 1 week, if the corona cases do not increase in 1 week, then the economy will remain open like this, but if the cases increase then we will have to impose strict restrictions.” The
Chief Minister said, “I request all the shopkeepers and businessmen to follow social distancing, masks and all other rules in the fight against Corona.”
