New Delhi: A 16-year-old boy accused of killing a 17-year-old boy by stabbing him more than 50 times during a street robbery was caught while he was eating biryani at a shop a short distance away. An officer associated with the investigation told this on Thursday.
“Even after committing the crime, he roamed around the area without any fear for hours before his arrest and was eating food (biryani) at a stall,” the officer said.
The officer said the police would appeal to the court to consider this as the rarest of rare cases and give strict punishment to the accused, who is a juvenile.
Meanwhile, the mother of the murdered boy demanded justice for her dead son, saying the accused should be given a death sentence.
She said, “I want justice for my son, especially considering the brutal manner in which he was killed.” In a video clip, the accused claimed that this was the fourth murder he had committed. I demand justice. He should be given the death penalty. But the police said he was a juvenile. He will be released from jail in a year and may kill someone else’s son as soon as he is released.”
The mother of the deceased son said, “My son left home at 6 pm on Tuesday evening to buy flour and milk, but he did not return. I inquired with many people, but no one knew where he was.”
She said, “The police told me the next morning that my son had been stabbed. They asked for some identification, and I told them he had a tattoo on his wrist that said, ‘Meri Jaan Mom’.”
Meanwhile, two days after a 16-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly stabbing a teenager with a knife more than 50 times, disturbing scenes emerged on Thursday, showing the accused dancing on his dead body, “reminiscent of the heinous act.” “Celebrating”.
In the CCTV footage, the accused minor can be seen dragging the body into a narrow lane and repeatedly stabbing the victim’s neck to ensure his death. He is also seen kicking the head of the lifeless body several times.
The incident took place in Janata Mazdoor Colony in the Welcome area of north-east Delhi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) Joy Tirkey said, “The minor accused has been apprehended, and the knife used in the crime has been recovered from his possession.”
“The motive behind the murder was robbery. The accused boy first strangled her, and when she became unconscious, he stabbed her multiple times before looting Rs 350,” the DCP said.
“The bleeding boy was taken to GTB hospital, where he was declared dead,” he said.
