New Delhi, September 28 . The Supreme Court has expressed concern over the increasing pollution in Delhi. The apex court made an important comment saying that the Air Quality Management Commission (AQMC), formed to control pollution, has not worked as expected.
Reacting to this comment of the court, BJP MP from West Delhi seat Kamaljit Sehrawat said that Kejriwal had said big things about air quality management. He had said that ending pollution in Delhi is his priority. Earlier he used to blame Punjab. He used to say that straw is burnt there, hence there is pollution inside Delhi. When the AAP government was formed in Punjab, he stopped saying these things.
The BJP MP said, “He does publicity worth crores by installing a smoke tower machine worth Rs. 70 lakhs. His smoke tower project also proves to be a failure. Today, the situation in Delhi is worse than worse. For the first time, pollution holidays are being observed in Delhi. The AAP government has not taken any steps to control pollution. Because of that, the level of pollution in Delhi has increased a lot. The comment of the Supreme Court is absolutely correct. Delhi’s pollution has become a topic of discussion all over the world today. The people of Delhi are feeling ashamed of it.”
Regarding the letter written by Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, he said that three months are left for the Delhi Assembly elections. No work was done in the nine and a half years of Kejriwal’s rule. What is the use of writing a letter now? AAP is in power in Delhi and the Municipal Corporation. The game of writing letters should be stopped and development works should be speeded up in the remaining tenure.
