Top LeT commander among 3 terrorists killed in J&K encounter
Srinagar: Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday. Police gave this information.
Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted quoting Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, “The slain terrorists have been identified as Ishfaq Gani, a resident of Chakwangund, Anantnag, and Yawar Ayub Dar, a resident of Dogripora, Awantipora. Both are multiple terrorists.” were involved in crimes.”
Based on specific information about the presence of terrorists, a search operation was launched. After receiving inputs, a joint team of security forces cordoned off the area and started firing.
As the security forces reached the spot where the terrorists were hiding, they came under heavy fire, following which they also retaliated.
